Health and Human Services

The Health and Human Services major examines the systems delivering human services to individuals and communities in need, social problems, and the professions and professionals providing services. This major has two prerequisite courses, SSC 103 “Introduction to Health and Human Service” and PSY 101, “Introduction to Psychology”.

Health and Human Services incorporates courses in introductory and intermediate social sciences, statistics and research methods, human biology, and ethics, as well as specialized courses on human service topics pertaining to each of the major’s three concentrations: Community Mental Health, Early Childhood Studies, and Social Gerontology.
